Always taking pictures of your food is not only okay, but it is encouraged. These pictures can be used to help us write articles and are used to make up our foodstagram @spoon_tcu.

Everyone is expected to take pictures to help out with the Instagram. But if photography is your true passion, we are also looking specifically for photographers to join our team. Photographers are paired up with writers and are required to provide pictures for each article.

2. You’ll become the go-to person for all things food within your friend group.

There are so many valuable skills you will gain as a member of TCU Spoon University: communication, working with deadlines, collaboration, leadership, and much more. Depending on your position, you may gain skills specific to your interest such as writing, photography or film.

If you do not have a portfolio already, Spoon is a great way to start building one. How impressive does it sound to have an article with over 100,000 views or to be apart of planning an event that lead to campus-wide engagement?

5. You get to meet other people with a passion for food.

Each month we throw an event on campus, so that our fellow students can share our love of all things food. The possibilities are limitless. Should we taste test candy? Pass out donuts? Let’s brainstorm.

This is where our marketers and event planners come in. We need organized people who know how to get their stuff done. If this sounds like you, you should be clicking that “Join” button right now.

7. Did I mention we love food?

We love food so much, we want to share our knowledge and ideas with others around us. If all those slutty brownie recipes, BLUU hacks, and Bai drink rankings were left in one head, the world would not be a better place.

You can get more information about joining the movement and fill out an interest form here. If you want to know more about each position, this link pretty much covers it all. However, if you still have some itching questions, feel free to email me at ashley.peek@tcu.edu.
