Did you ever consider granola as a savory snack instead of a sweet one? Yes, friends, this magical thing does exist. Meet this spicy and savory granola! Savory granola is made pretty similarly to sweet granola, in the sense that you still use common ingredients like oats and nuts and seeds, but instead of a sweetener you are going to use salt and pepper and maybe even some paprika or red pepper for zing.

Some of the ways you can enjoy this crunchy delight is as a soup topping instead of croutons, on salads, or even paired with some yoghurt. Feel free to experiment with different combinations of herbs, nuts, or seeds. Regular oats can be replaced by gluten-free flakes such as millet or buckwheat flakes.

Alternatively, if you are allergic to any type of nuts, you can use seeds such as pumpkin, sesame, or flaxseed. If you're feeling bit more adventurous, you can also try a curry variation by adding some curry powder, ground turmeric, and some garam masala into your mixture.
