Smoothie bowls are super trendy right now, and for good reason. They're thick, hearty, and usually are loaded with important nutrients, making a great breakfast. Lots of smoothie bowl recipes call for açaí or other superfoods that might be hard to find or expensive, but this green smoothie bowl is simple and uses ingredients you can find anywhere. Breakfast might be the most important meal of the day, but I could eat this smoothie bowl day long!

    Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup almond milk. Spoon Tip: start with a little less and then add more as you need for thickness
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach or baby kale or mixed greens
  • 1/4 cup frozen pineapple
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1/2 banana. Spoon Tip: slice up the other half and use it as a topping!

    Put your bowl in the fridge or freezer while you're blending. This will help keep your smoothie bowl thick and cold longer!

    Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend! If the mixture is too thin, try adding more frozen fruit or peanut butter. If it is too thick, add a splash more almond milk.

  • Step 3

    Pour into a bowl and add toppings! Sliced fruit and granola are great options, and add a drizzle of honey or agave nectar for a little sweetness.
