If you’ve been on social media recently, I’m sure you’ve seen that edible cookie dough is all the rage. I don’t know about you, but as a child I was always yelled at for eating the extra raw cookie dough after making a batch of cookies. Well, no need to risk any food-born illnesses anymore, because this edible cookie dough recipe from Kristen Tomlan, founder of Cookie DŌ NYC, can be eaten straight from the bowl.

After moving to NYC and following her passion for baking, DŌ was born, and we were all blessed with the ability to eat the ooey-gooey goodness that comes from eating cookie dough straight from the bowl.

You can't go wrong with the classic chocolate chip cookie dough. It's the perfect balance of chocolate and sweetness. However, if you want to get creative, don't be afraid to stray from the classic combo.

Try other mix-ins such as birthday cake (rainbow sprinkles, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips), chop up your favorite candy bar (Snickers, Twix, Kit Kat, Reese’s, M&Ms), peanut butter (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), S’mores (milk chocolate, mini-marshmallows, graham cracker crumbs), or drizzle in some chocolate sauce.
