You’ve been fooled for years that the common kitchen bowl is the best way to eat ice cream, cereal and fruit. Now we’re revolutionizing the bowl by making it… wait for it… edible. And what better way to get your chocolate fix than by eating out of a bowl made entirely of chocolate?

Here’s all you need to know to make this simple chocolate bowl that is great for parties, late nights, midday snacks and any other chocolate craving.

2-Ingredient Edible Chocolate Bowls

    Ingredients

  • 2 packages baking chocolate
  • 8 water balloons
  • Parchment paper
  • Cooking spray
  • Step 1

    Wash balloons well with soap and water. Dry off afterwards with a towel. Make sure balloons are completely dry before inflated. 

  • Step 2

    Inflate balloons to desired size. Smaller balloons are easier to work with, but blow a bigger balloon for a bigger bowl.

  • Step 3

    Place chocolate in a bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals until fully melted, mixing every 30 seconds.

  • Step 4

    Take small spoonfuls of chocolate to create small, flat circles on parchment paper. This will be what the bowls stand on.

  • Step 5

    Allow chocolate to cool to a tolerable temperature, but do not let it harden. If it’s too hot, the balloons will pop.

  • Step 6

    Spray the tops of each balloon with cooking spray.

  • Step 7

    Dip the top of the balloon in the bowl of chocolate and press down so it forms a bowl shape around the balloon.

  • Step 8

    Place the balloon, chocolate side down, onto one of the circles of chocolate on the parchment paper.

  • Step 9

    Place balloons in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.

  • Step 10

    Remove from the fridge and pop balloons with something sharp. Make sure you pop the balloons aggressively, do NOT just deflate them – doing so will cause the bowls to break.

  • Step 11

    Remove balloon pieces from inside the chocolate bowl.

  • Step 12

    Fill with ice cream, whipped cream and fruit, cereal and anything else your hungry mind desires.
