To kick off the series, we will be visiting Olvera Street in Downtown Los Angeles with the USC Latina/o Student Assembly to celebrate el Día de los Muertos in the birthplace of Los Angeles! There will be games, pinatas, dancing, face painting, mask making, a candlelight ceremony and more! A delicious dinner will be provided at a nearby restaurant.
The following week, students will be able to experience an exclusive walking tour of one of LA’s “palace theatres” in the second installment of our mini-series, Hidden Gems LA: Los Angeles Theatre. The theatre, where many famous and classic films were set, is now closed off to the public except for special events and scheduled groups!
