Healthy Food Fair

Location: McCarthy Quad

Description:

“Are you bored of all the same old off-campus options? Do you want to explore healthy, new restaurants but don’t know where to go? Attend the Healthy Food Fair and try out restaurants and food trucks from the greater LA area…. for FREE!!!

Sample a range of delectable organic, vegan/vegetarian and/or sustainably sourced options… including juices, smoothies, acai bowls, salads, and MORE!!

Trick Out Your Treat w/ Program Board & Disney’s Big Hero 6

Oct. 30 from 11:00-2:00 p.m.

“Who says you are too old for trick-or-treating? Definitely not USC Special Events Committee and USC Program Board!

Come out and get Tricked-out for Halloween with the 14 spooktacular assemblies and committees of Program Board on Thursday October 30th at 11AM. Disney will also be promoting their new animated film Big Hero 6coming out Nov. 7th! Keep reading to learn how you can win free tickets to an On-Campus pre-screening the day of the event!

We will have lots of booths throughout McCarthy Quad passing out amazing DIY crafts, free food, awesome swag, and of course CANDY!!

Marketing Panel Q&A

Description:

“Are you interested in learning more about “real world” marketing techniques and how to get your foot in the door in this competitive industry?

Join USC Program Board‘s Marketing Committee Tuesday, October 28th, in TCC 227 at 8:00PM to hear from distinguished professors and alumni discuss their tips and tricks for succeeding in the industry. The first 40 minutes of the event will consist of a moderated panel discussion, and the last 20 minutes of the event will be reserved for your questions!

Check Yourself- A Breast Cancer Awareness Concert

Oct. 29 at 6 p.m.

Location: Ground Zero Performance Cafe

“Mark your calendars for another awesome evening at Ground Zero with Performing Arts! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month come out to Ground Zero for a night of live music while educating yourself about breast cancer.

Ever wondered how to check yourself for Breast Cancer? Well now’s your chance. Be there to support the cause while hanging out with friends and listening to your talented Trojan classmates perform!

The first 50 people will receive free milkshakes!

In order to raise money for this amazing cause, we will be having a gift cards raffle! Buy raffle tickets for $1 for your chance to win giftcards from Victoria’s Secret, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Starbucks, and more! Buy your tickets from Sigma Lambda Gamma sisters, online, or at the event! You don’t have to be present to win.

Hidden Gems LA: Olvera Street

Nov. 2 at 4 p.m.

Location: Olvera Street (Transportation included)

Description: “Ever wanted to get off campus and experience cool nooks and crannies that your friends will be jealous about because they had no idea these places existed? Join the Academic Culture Assembly on our new mini-series: Hidden Gems LA, in which we provide students with the opportunity to explore significant and historical landmarks within Los Angeles.

To kick off the series, we will be visiting Olvera Street in Downtown Los Angeles with the USC Latina/o Student Assembly to celebrate el Día de los Muertos in the birthplace of Los Angeles! There will be games, pinatas, dancing, face painting, mask making, a candlelight ceremony and more! A delicious dinner will be provided at a nearby restaurant.

The following week, students will be able to experience an exclusive walking tour of one of LA’s “palace theatres” in the second installment of our mini-series, Hidden Gems LA: Los Angeles Theatre. The theatre, where many famous and classic films were set, is now closed off to the public except for special events and scheduled groups! Brunch will follow in a quaint courtyard tucked away from the city.
