As many vegetarians and vegans do,  I always scope out the menu before I go to a restaurant to make sure there is something other than the “house salad” to eat as a meal. So whenever friends and family suggest a trip to Parc for brunch, lunch or dinner, I smile in delight. Though at first the French style food might not sound like the most veggie-friendly place (hello rabbit and foie gras), I have found a great way to navigate the French Philly favorite to satisfy my cravings while sticking to my vegetarian roots. The sides are super rich and good enough to stand alone, and if you order a couple they work as a meal. So don’t skip out on a night of fun with friends – enjoy these options and let your omnivore friends enjoy the fantastic (so I hear) meat dishes at Parc.

Dinner Picks: radish crudité, saffron spaghettini, ricotta raviloi, mushroom tart (Sides: sautéed spinach, haricots verts, cauliflower gratin, pommes puree)

Bonus to Parc: most alcohol is vegetarian AND vegan, so enjoy a cocktail or two. And the dessert is, as the French say, délicieux. I recommend the maple bread pudding or apple tarte tatin.  Those are the best two parts of a meal anyways…right?
