My freshman roommate in college used to say she couldn't go a day without chocolate or else she'd get a headache. While most of us aren't that addicted to the ooey gooey goodness that can be found in every store in America, we are big fans.
In fact, America is in the top ten countries with the highest chocolate consumption. Because of this, it's basically my duty to tell you all about Universal's Willy Wonka Restaurant, which for the record, does offer several desserts with chocolate.
The Basics
While it would have been awesome if Universal had chosen to call the restaurant Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory, they instead call it Universal's Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen (for legal purposes) , which pales in comparison, if you ask me.
The restaurant opened last August and features food such as gourmet burgers, gigantic milkshakes, steak and much more.
Another major perk is that the restaurant isn't in Universal, but rather on Universal CityWalk, which means you don't even need park tickets to stuff your face with chocolate.
Where's The Chocolate?
Now for the part where we really get down to business, let's talk about the chocolate situation. While the restaurant may not be overflowing with chocolate and candy like in good old Willy's factory, Universal's Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen does make some beautiful chocolate milkshake creations.
They do, however, come at a pretty penny, so make sure you walk in expecting to splurge.
Some of the milkshakes that sound really good are Peanut Indulgence, Marshmallow Crisp and Chocolate X5, which is chocolate ice cream with chocolate chunks and drizzled chocolate sauce, garnished with chocolate spirals.
Why You Should Go?
For starters, I'm 99 percent sure that if you clicked on this and got this far, you at least like chocolate, which is why you should give this place a shot. Also, on a hot summer day these killer shakes would be a great way to cool down!
