Get your horns up and your tastebuds ready! Tastemade, a global, digital media company connecting the world through food, is taking over the University of Texas vs. West Virginia tailgate this weekend, Nov 8th, and filming an episode of their newly launched show, “The Grill Iron“.  The host of the show is making her way around the country, hitting up the best college tailgates and trying the best food. Of course, Texas is at the top of the list in both categories. Hook ‘em.

The event will feature Thai delicacies from Chef Alexis Chong of Sway Restaurant. She’ll be grilling up her famous Tod Man Pla (thai fish cake), one of the most prominent appetizers on most Thai restaurants’ menus. But there’s a twist. Instead of frying the fish cake, as is traditional, Chong will be shish-kebobing and grilling, Texas style.

Kickoff is at 2:30pm, so the festivities will start a few hours prior. The tailgate will be held near Darrell K Royal Stadium, specifically at the Hyundai Field House at 405 E 23rd St.

The Texas episode of “The Grill Iron” will air on December 6. Check out the series opener that was filmed at Ohio State University!

It isn’t every day you get to support your team, eat great food and be on TV. Don’t miss out!
