Donuts are like the second love of my life (after cheese, of course!) and ever since Mad Over Donuts came to India it has been my favourite place to satiate the all-time donut cravings. For me, nothing beats M.O.D – not even Dunkin of Krispy Kreme! Which is why I was too excited to try the new Signature Donuts that M.O.D has come up with.

The Signature Donuts, I feel, are a great concept and M.O.D has pulled it off very well. One thing common among all four of these is the fact that the patisseries at M.O.D have managed to put very complicated dessert recipes onto your donuts with much ease – which is definitely commendable. Here’s what I feel about all four of them:

1. Salted Caramel Donut

This one is loaded with flocculent salted caramel buttercream; other elements include a sweet caramel drizzle, crushed butterscotch bits and sea salt sprinkled like a garnish. It looks exactly like its picture and is the perfect blend of sweet and salty. Another addition to your must have savoury dessert list.

2. Tiramisu Donut

The best thing about the Tiramisu Donut is that, even though it looks heavy and you’d expect it to be heavy – it’s not. It’s light and fluffy and one could easily manage to finish it even after a heavy meal. It contains Tiramisu buttercream, which is carefully made to give a burst of the Tiramisu flavour in your mouth. Dusted with cocoa for the feel of Tiramisu and topped with a chocolate wafer roll, you cannot resist yourself from taking another bite.

3. Vanilla Cheesecake Donut

The Vanilla Cheesecake, like the Tiramisu, is also very light to eat as a dessert quite contrary to the actual cheesecake. The donut is filled with vanilla cream-cheese inside and the top layer is made up of vanilla cream-cheese and white chocolate, which is definitely to die for. The difference is that the bottom biscuit-layer of the cheesecake is at the top of the donut instead of being at the bottom. I’d love to have more crumbled biscuit on my donut, but this one’s definitely worth a shot.

4. Mocha Truffle

All hail chocolate lovers, this one’s for you all! The Mocha Truffle donut truly satiates one’s love for chocolate and lives up to its name. Loaded with white chocolate, espresso chocolate ganache, and milk chocolate chunks, this one will keep making you want another bite. The espresso chocolate ganache is definitely my favourite part of this donut.

It’s a tough call to choose a favourite out of these. Visit the M.O.D outlet near you and tell me which one you liked the most.
