It’s that time of the year again. Eat Drink SF returns to celebrate the Bay Area culinary community this summer from Thursday, August 20 through Sunday, August 23.

Regarded as one of America’s premier food festivals by Mashable, Eat Drink SF has been bringing world-class chefs and restaurants together since 2009. As in previous years, attendees will have the opportunity to attend Grand Tasting events with dishes by over 100 chefs and restaurants. This year, these tastings are occurring on Friday, August 21 from 6:30pm – 10pm, and Saturday, August 23, from 12:30pm – 4pm and 7pm – 10:30pm.

For the Grand Tasting on Saturday, August 22, attendees can choose from three different sessions. At noon, sprinkle, sizzle and sip your way through beer pairings, all presented by Stella Artois. If you’re more into cocktails, check out Sipsmith Gin‘s “Classic Cocktail A-Game” at 2pm. For those of you wine fanatics, head over at 4pm to “Test Your Wine Knowledge” with Wine Spectator.

And the foodie events don’t stop there: Each Grand Tasting will also have main stages with classes and demonstrations led by celebrity chefs. For those over 21, there will be workshops led by the San Francisco Wine School and over 70 different beverages to sample.

This year, as a warm up to these classic events, Eat Drink SF held a brand new one on Thursday, August 20: Taco Knockdown. The competition put 17 different Bay Area chefs head-to-head in a battle to create the most original and delicious taco, and Trick Dog took home the creative taco title, as based on the votes of the attendees.

Another new event will be the Super Duper Burger Guest Chef Series. From Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21, a featured guest chef’s burger will be offered the entire day at Super Duper on Kearny Street. On each day, 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity of the chef’s choice, so make sure to stop by for both good food and good causes.
