Brunch is an essential meal for any Cal student and in the heart of Southside is perhaps the best brunch destination that Berkeley has to offer. With reasonable prices, large portions and a wide variety of dishes, Bleecker Bistro is without a doubt a place everyone should be acquainted with.

Bleecker’s prices range from $5 – $8 for brunch, making it a great alternative to some of the more pricier brunch places around Berkeley. It is also open Monday through Sunday from 8 AM – 8 PM. However, we highly recommend getting there at either 10 AM or after 1 PM if you want to beat the crazy lunch rush.

With so many delicious options, Spoon’s got you covered with three of our favorites to get you started.

Packed with Italian sausage, bell peppers, tomatoes, cheese and an amazing aioli sauce, this omelette is sure to cure any hangover symptoms you’ve got. This dish is also one of Bleecker’s most popular omelettes and for good reason. With eggs that are extremely delicate and a side of Bleecker’s acclaimed potato hash, this hardy dish is sure to fill you up for the day.

For those looking for a classic breakfast item, these sweet and fluffy blueberry pancakes will not disappoint. Maple syrup isn’t even a necessary complement to this dish. Spoon tip: ask for a side of buttered toast and pair it with their apple butter for a unique meal.

With these amazing dishes, we are sure that this will be your new go-to brunch spot. The cute small-town college vibe makes it a perfect place to do anything from catch up with friends to read a book. Its location on Telegraph and Dwight makes it easily accessible for all students and a great place to stop by on your way to or from class.
