The end of the semester exams is just around the corner. As soon as that final bell rings and the last exam ends, the first thing we’re going to do is head out and look for places where we can celebrate the end of another eventful and (hopefully!) successful semester.

Hudson lane is a boon for all the North Campus students with its variety of restaurants and cafés to choose from. So, where do you plan to go?

The Spoon UDelhi team is here to help you narrow down your choices when it comes to good dine-ins and their menus. All the must-haves mentioned below have been personally tried by us, so you know they’ll all be good.

Let the party begin!

1. Big Yellow Door

If you haven’t been to Big Yellow Door yet, you’ve missed out on a lot. This is generally the first place most people go to in their first year. My friends and I did, at least.

Big Yellow Door is a favourite among college students for its pocket-friendly prices, flavourful dishes and milk shakes. There is always a waiting outside their big yellow door, so make sure you go there with a reservation or when you have the time to wait.

Must try: BYD Cheese Bomb Burger, Butter Chicken Pasta, Butter Chicken Pizza, Cheesy Nachos Mexicana, Chicken Peri Peri Pizza

2. Woodbox Café

The classy wooden furniture, the seating arrangement on the roof floor, and the way the shakes are served (in bottles of beer, so you can get in the party mood more easily)–all of these things together make Woodbox Café a very refreshing experience.

You can go there when you to want to just sit back and enjoy some peaceful time with your circle of friends–like the end of the finals.

Must try: Chicken Wheat Dimsums, Spanish Omelette, Black Forest Cake Shake

3. QD’s

QD’s has a very electric environment, with its colourful decor and lively crowd. Read our detailed review on QD’s here to know more about this place.

Must try: Honey Chilly Potatoes, Chilly Mushroom Dry, Paneer Achaari Tikka, Green Apple Jack, Red Velvet Sundae, Double Chocolate Shake

4. Rico’s

This one is my personal favourite. Rico’s is the place to go to if you’re looking forward to a quiet and pleasant evening with your friends. No place acts as much like a stress buster as Rico’s does. It is probably because how lively and tasteful everything is here–from the decor to the food to even the music.

One of the best things about this place is the dessert menu and the one-plus-one-free offer they almost always have on their desserts.

Must try: Apple Pie Shake, Chicken Wings, Chicken Peri Peri Pizza, Vegetarian and Chicken Enchiladas, Nachos Grande, Fish Fingers, Strawberry Shake, Chocolate Waffle

5. Mood Swingers

These guys came up with the fantastic idea of installing swings inside their café. This ‘swinger’ theme instantly brings out the kid in you and you find yourself competing with your friends for a seat on the swing.

The end of another semester and the looming adulthood ahead are reasons why we need to bring out this childish side more than ever right now.

Must try: Honey Chilli Potatoes, Afghani Chicken Roll

6. Little Diner

As the name suggests, this place is small and cozy–best for an evening out with your close group of friends.

This is the perfect place to hang out if you have a group of 5-6 friends. There is an added bonus for you here if you like to enjoy fresh fruit juice after your meals. There is a small fruit stall right outside Little Diner where you can quench your thirst with juices, shakes and ice creams at the most pocket-friendly prices.

Must try: Mexican Corn Wrap, Bolognese

7. YOLO 21

YOLO 21, based on the saying ‘You live only once’, is a youth-themed dine-in with a fun ambiance and some really inspirational and motivational quotes on the walls. This place always reminds you of the fact that you do live only once, so you should make the best of it.

Must try: Sizzlers – especially the Chicken Peri Peri. ‘Build Your Own’ pizza is an interesting concept which allows one to get best of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian pizzas in one.
