I love visiting the University of Alabama's campus. The vibrant student life that you witness as you walk around the various parts of campus with your tour guide is like no other school. As you walk around with your guide, though, you will probably build up an appetite.

Don't know where to go out to eat? Don't worry, I didn't know the best eats around on my first visit to Tuscaloosa. Now that I've visited a few times, I can say that I've racked up a list of great places to around Tuscaloosa's very own University Boulevard.

1. The Ferguson Center

I start the list off here because this is the last place you will visit on your tour of the university. The Ferguson Center, or "the Ferg" as locals and students call it, is a large student center located in the heart of campus.

The food court in the Ferg is amazing. There is a Panda Express, Chick-fil-A, Auntie Annes, and more located in here. Not to mention the fact that the largest Starbucks on a college campus is inside of the Ferg.

#SpoonTip: After you finish sipping your Pumpkin Spice Latte, visit the Supe Store right across the hall for some Tide merchandise.

2. Rock N Roll Sushi

Rock and Roll sushi is a well-known favorite among UA students. Each sushi roll has the name and flavor profile of the star it portrays. Located right on University Boulevard, Rock and Roll sushi isn't too far away from campus for you to stray on your visit.

3. Pieology

Pieology is a personal favorite of mine. Since its a "do-it-yourself" pizza place, the options of what to eat here are endless. Don't want a pizza? No worries, their salads are fresh and phenomenal. Peony is just a ten-minute walk off campus, and trust me, it's worth it.

4. Juice Bar

We all love the juice and smoothie trend that has taken over our social media accounts lately. I mean, who doesn't love a good ol' refreshing beverage that also happens to be healthy and delicious? Well, whenever you're in Tuscaloosa, and looking for a quick juice fix, Juice Bar has you covered.

#SpoonTip: If you're on the go, but want something a little more substantial than a juice, try the açaí bowl. You won't regret it.

5. Denny Dogs

Let's just say that you're lucky enough to be visiting the university for one of their widely acclaimed football games. If that's the case, the you MUST have a Denny Dog. At least one, but preferably two or three.

Die-hard Alabama fans say that these hot dogs are the things that dreams are made of. One fan even went as far to say that they "had to be made by Nick Saban himself because they taste nothing short of championship-winning." I don't know about that, but with a recommendation that great, they deserved a mention.

When I visit colleges, the food scene in the surrounding areas plays a large part on my decision to apply. Tuscaloosa has wowed me with great cuisine each time I have visited, and I hope it will do the same for you too! Roll Tide Roll!
