Your head is pounding, drained of all its mental strength, and your stomach is letting out a low growl; begging to be fed. The life of a night owl who attends Grand Valley can be a difficult one, but the cure to your highly evolved nighttime cravings are just a few scrolls away.

These 3 local restaurants can help any Grand Valley student turn their late night cravings into late night joy.

After that dreadful 6:00 to 9:00 PM, you and your classmates are looking for a bite to eat. You keep contemplating where to go that won't completely drain your bank account to zero. Then it hits you, Main Street Pub.

Main Street is a perfect choice because after 9:00 PM many of their drinks and food go on sale. With a domestic beer of the month for $2.85 (20oz) and a micro-brew of the month for $4.05 (20oz.), it's hard to find something you won't enjoy.

If social drinking isn't your thing, Main Street also provides you with free WiFi in order to help you catch up on those last minute Blackboard assignments you completely forgot about. While doing that, you'll also be able to enjoy a great burger of your choice like The Highwayman (pictured above).

#SpoonTip: With cold weather right around the corner, Main Street Pub also provides daily housemade chili that warms the palate and the soul

Location: 11240 University Parkway, Allendale, MI

2. Peppino's Pizzeria and Sports Grille

Peppino's is famously known for their heavenly cheese bread

It's almost 11:00 PM, and you're still mentally drained from the exam you had earlier. Both you and your pizza loving partner feel restless, and then you realize you haven't eaten in hours. There's only one place that can help you with your pizza cravings at this time of night, and that's Peppino's Pizzeria.

With deals like the "college special", a 14 inch one topping pizza for only $8, the thought of having to microwave some freezer burned pizza rolls is out of the question. If you think you're lucky now, wait until both of you find out that Peppino's offers a 10% discount to all GVSU students with a valid ID.

Breathing a sigh of relief after you take a seat at the bar together, you've come to realize, a pizza just isn't enough. That exam was tough, and you both deserve to treat yourselves. Luckily, the $5 appetizer special kicks in after 10:00 PM. Mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, fried pickles, loaded tots, pizza bites, and nachos; its just so hard to choose!

#SpoonTip: The appetizer deal runs Sunday through Thursday between 10:00 p.m and 1:00 a.m

Location: 5065 Lake Michigan Drive, Allendale, MI

This java shop does not only give you a comfy place to stay while you're studying, but they will also give you a 10% off discount just for being a Grand Valley student. While you are cramming for your exam, they will continuously roast their own coffee and provide you with all the energy that you need to make it through the night.

Coffee's not your thing? No problem, they also serves countless specialty drinks and can make just about any flavor of soda imaginable. Whether you are in need of a vitality boost to keep you going through the night, or a quaint place to decompress with classmates, The Bitter End is the place to be, but you better hurry...they fill up fast!
