USG Runs on Students: Elections Promo Event

Nov. 4 from 11:00-2:00 p.m.

Location: USC Undergraduate Student Government

Description: “The Undergraduate Student Government’s Elections for 2015-2016 school year are coming! We are looking for USG’s next President, Vice President, and Senate.

Are you interested in being the voice of USC’s student body or making a change on USC’s campus? Then come to the Elections Promo Event on November 4, 2014 from 11am-2pm at Tommy Trojan to learn about the elected positions and how to get started. High Tea Party: First Taste of GirlUp

Nov. 5 at 4 p.m. and Nov. 6 at 5 p.m.

Description: “GirlUp is hosting the very first event in the beginning of November! Come enjoy the English High Tea style afternoon date with some of the most dynamic, fun and worldly girls!

While enjoying the healthy tea, juices, cookies and pastries we prepared specially for you, you will learn about who we are, what we do, our awesome events planned for the upcoming year, and how we can empower and connect you in a beautiful way!

Awesome Bonus: The founders of Leno Juice, Audrey’s Cookies, Hygge Bakery, truBrain and Opportuniteas will provide tastings at the event! They will also share their entrepreneurial journey and how they brought their dreams to life. It will be a great start to meet entrepreneurs and hear some amazing stories!

Hidden Gems LA: Los Angeles Theatre

Nov. 8 from at 10 a.m.

Location: The Los Angeles Theatre Center

Description: “Ever wanted to get off campus and experience cool nooks and crannies that your friends will be jealous about because they had no idea these places existed? Join the Academic Culture Assembly on our new mini-series: Hidden Gems LA, in which we provide students with the opportunity to explore significant and historical landmarks within Los Angeles.

After our kickoff event to Olvera Street on November 2nd, we will be taking students to experience an exclusive walking tour of one of LA’s “palace theatres” in the second installment of our mini-series. The theatre, where many famous and classic films were set, is now closed off to the public except for special events and scheduled groups! Brunch will follow in a quaint courtyard tucked away from the city.

USG Presents: The Lot – Food Trucks at the Finger Fountain

Nov. 9 from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Location: Finger Fountain- USC

Description: “The Lot is back! Come join us for the first installment of The Lot this year! The Lot is an alternative social dining experience on the second Sunday night of almost every month from 7pm-9pm. Stop by the Finger Fountain (on campus at the corner of Jefferson and Hoover) to enjoy premiere food trucks and quality music from top USC musicians!
Stay tuned for the gradual announcements of each truck that will be in attendance.

The Lot will take place on the second Sunday of almost every month, including: November 9, January 11, February 8, and March 8.

This event is sponsored by Undergraduate Student Government, USC Hospitality and Roaming Hunger.”
