If you’re like me when I baked cookies as a kid, you were always sneaking a bite of raw cookie dough when mom looked away. If she caught you, she would scold you and warn that you’d get a stomachache if you ate raw dough.

Maybe you shrugged off her warnings, but I know I got sick at least once from eating too much raw egg. Now you can eat edible cookie dough and not get sick! How amazing is that? The Cookie Dough Café makes pint-sized gourmet dough and sells it in grocery stores.

#SpoonTip: The company is completely owned by women #girlpower.

The dough doesn’t have eggs in it so it’s safe to eat without baking. Their slogan is actually Eat it! Don’t bake it! Each batch is made with fresh ingredients. There are no preservatives so you need to refrigerate the cookie dough or freeze it to keep it fresh. But it probably won’t make it to the fridge because you’ll want to eat it by the spoonful and eat is fast.

Right now The Cookie Dough Café has their product in grocery stores across the country like Harris Teeter, The Fresh Market and Balducci’s. You can even buy it online.

After passing the cookie dough countless times in my local grocery store, I finally gave in and bought every flavor. You know, just to try them out and see if it’s worth the hype. The Cookie Dough Café certainly did not disappoint. It’s incredible how identical it is to real homemade cookie dough. Each flavor has a unique “something something” that makes it impossible to have just one bite. I tried the following four flavors and here’s what I have to say about them:

Chocolate Chip

Chocolate chip is definitely the OG of cookie doughs and The Cookie Dough Café’s version gets a 10/10. The creamy texture pairs flawlessly with the perfectly sized chocolate chips. Seriously… heaven in a bite.

If you’re a peanut butter lover, this is the dough for you. Peanut butter dough with chocolate chips and M&Ms make this dough burst with pizazz in every bite.

Cookies & Cream

One of the world’s most iconic combinations: Cookies and Cream always wins. If you have a sweet tooth, you’ll love this cookie dough. The dough is smooth and creamy and the Oreo chunks give it a satisfying crunch. What’s not to love?

Naked Dough

Not a fan of chocolate? Not to worry. The naked dough is plain cookie dough with nothing ( like candies or dried fruit) mixed in. The hint of vanilla will have you singing as you eat. It’s also a great dough for the adventurist to mix their own toppings in.

If the pint-size intimidates you, they have snack sized cups for the chocolate chip flavor. It comes in a 6-pack, just like the puddings and jellos you often see on grocery store shelves. Take them to work with you or pack them for a sweet snack on-the-go. For all the gluten-free peeps out there, they have three flavors for you to choose from: chocolate chip cookie dough, oatmeal raisin, and peanut butter dough.

I advise you to run – not walk – to your grocery store and pick up a pint of cookie dough. The Cookie Dough Café knows what it’s doing, so hop on this cookie dough train. Remember it’s okay to eat it and not bake it.
