We’ve all heard chocolate milk may help reduce soreness after a tough workout…but watermelon juice? That’s a new one.

A recent study found that an amino acid in watermelon may result in a better recovery after a workout. Naturally-occurring chemicals in the watermelon may remove lactic acid faster from the body, allowing athletes to train more intensely.
