Trader Joe’s is known for many things; its cool Hawaiian theme, great healthy ingredients, out-of-this-world frozen meals, and more. What many people don’t know about Trader Joe’s is that its frozen desserts are just as good as (if not better than) its frozen meals. Below is a list of Trader Joe’s frozen desserts that are perfect for sharing with friends – or for eating by yourself on the couch while binge-watching Netflix.

1. A Dozen Macarons Variés

Macarons are so popular these days but are hard to find unless you live near a fancy French boutique or make them on your own. BUT these macarons are delicious, easily accessible (at your neighborhood Trader Joe’s), and come in six delicious and fancy flavors! These include fig, lemon, apricot, coconut, pistachio, and salted caramel

2. Ice Cream Bon Bons

Bon-bons are inherently delicious (even the name sounds good). These Ice Cream Bon Bons are even better, because they combine the sophisticated bon-bon with delicious vanilla ice cream, a chocolate cookie crust, and a delicious chocolate-y coating. These little chocolate-covered nuggets of deliciousness are perfect for sharing as mini-desserts with friends

3. Fruit Frenzy Bars

These fruit bars are so good, one of my friends ate three in one day (I’m not kidding — I had to hide them from her). The three flavors in these bars – raspberry, lemon, strawberry – are made with real fruit so, technically, they’re healthy. These popsicles are perfect for a hot day, especially in southern California weather.

4. Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream

Cookie butter goes with just about everything. So it is no surprise that Trader Joe’s Speculoos Cookie Butter goes great with ice cream. This Speculoos Cookie Butter Ice Cream is thick, creamy, and has a Madagascar vanilla ice cream base with swirls of delicious cookie butter. It comes in a 32-ounce container, but it’ll be gone within seconds

5. Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches

Ice cream sandwiches are a hot topic in southern California, especially with different universities claiming that their campus has the best ice cream sandwich shop. So, it is quite a feat to find a store-bought ice cream sandwich that holds a candle to southern California favorites, and these Sublime Ice Cream Sandwiches do just that. These sandwiches with vanilla ice cream between two chocolate chip cookies and rolled in chocolate chips make a delicious post-exam snack… or a pre-exam breakfast.

6. A Dozen Sweet Bites

These are great for are in the mood for cake, but aren’t feeling like breaking out the cake pans and cake mix. These sweet bites come in three flavors, a delicious chocolate and coffee “Opera” cake (which will make you feel fancy AF), raspberry “Macaron Aux Framboises” cake (which is even fancier), and a caramel and chocolate cake (my personal favorite).

7. Chocolate Dilemma Cheesecake

The best part about this cheesecake IS the dilemma you have when you open the box. Do I want a slice of the vanilla cake? Or maybe the chocolate chip cake? Or maybe I want to eat the whole cake by myself. Each one of these slices is delicious, and the best part is, they are already pre-cut, so you don’t need to worry about breaking out a knife and cutting equal pieces for all of your friends.

In short, Trader Joe’s is a place that has it all. It has fresh fruits and vegetables, fancy frozen meals, and delicious and easy-to-defrost frozen desserts that taste as if they were freshly made. The best part about all of Trader Joe’s mouthwatering desserts is that they are perfect for sharing with friends AND eating by yourself when you’re having a rough day.
