In case you didn’t know, one of the two dining halls on FSU’s campus, the Suwannee Room, will now be open 24 hours from November 30 to December 11. So technically, I lied in the headline of this article because that includes not only finals week, but also the hectic week before.

I know how incredibly busy my schedule gets during the two weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter Break with finals, holiday parties, and trying to get in those last minute assignments, so having Suwannee open all day and all night will really alleviate some of that stress.

Another promotion they have going on right now is called the 12 Days of Studying, which is a meal plan that you can purchase for $99 that will give you unlimited meals from November 30 through December 11 at both Suwannee and Fresh Food. It also includes 12 days of free pastries and coffee at Freshens. How much better can it get?

This is a great option for those students who don’t already have a meal plan and often find themselves too busy to even cook a meal during those two weeks. This meal plan will allow you to put all of your energy into acing your finals and give you the freedom to visit the dining hall whenever is convenient for you, whether it be 3 pm or 3 am. Plus, it’s also a great place to bring your books for a few hours, grab a couple plates of food, and get in some much needed study time. With the huge tables they have to offer, Suwannee would be one of the first places I would hit up when looking for that perfect study spots since Strozier is usually too full to even find somewhere to sit during finals.

And as if Seminole Dining wasn’t already doing enough to help us all out, they’re also serving late night breakfast on Wednesday December 9 from 11 pm to 1 am. The best part is that it’s only $5 for students without a meal plan and free for dining members. The omelet bar will be open for business and you can find your favorite FSU administrators serving other delicious breakfast foods like chicken & waffles.

So before you start freaking out about finals, take a deep breath and know that finding something to eat during the stress inducing, panic attack period known as finals week will be a whole lot easier thanks to Suwannee. You can also connect with Seminole Dining on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook to make it even easier to keep up with all the events they have going on over the next few weeks before winter break.
