Everyone and their mom knows that there are countless ways to enjoy Pop-Tarts: you can toast them, eat them in cereal form and even enjoy them with a side of politics. Wait did I just say politics? Yeah, you heard right. Spoon University paired up with Pop-Tarts to bring POP the Vote to The University of Texas at Austin last Friday to find out which flavor is most popular among UT students.

Pop-Tarts sent over 300 packages of tasty toaster pastries, weighing in at a whopping 70 pounds. Over 22 flavors were represented, ranging from the classic Frosted Strawberry to the fruity Wild Berry to the surprisingly delicious Watermelon.

Students fulfilled their childhood dreams and flocked to the West Mall to taste and vote for their favorite Pop-Tarts flavor. Long lines of students waited to sample the Pop-Tarts, and it didn’t take long for hungry students to devour every last toaster pastry in the silver cellophane packages.

While Red Velvet seemed to take an early lead, it was ultimately Brown Sugar Cinnamon that ended up on top and won students’ hearts and stomachs.

Now, go forth and vote for our future president in November, even if he or she won’t end up being a Pop-Tart.
