If you haven't seen a segment of "Carpool Karaoke", then you're missing out. "The Late Late Show with James Corden" has made that segment a must-watch hit. James Corden, the show's host, drives around with famous singers, talking about their lives, and of course, singing. Ed Sheeran was the most recent guest on James Corden's "Carpool Karaoke", and while in the car, the "Shape of You" singer broke one of his personal records by stuffing an insane amount of candy in his mouth.

Sheeran has earned our love through his amazing songs and hit albums. But on his episode of "Carpool Karaoke", after telling James that he could fit 47 Maltesers in his mouth, Ed was put to the test to defend his skill.

I think Sheeran even shocked himself — not only did the singer reach his previous record, but he also fit 8 more Maltesers in his mouth. That's right — Ed Sheeran stuffed 55 Maltesers in his mouth and now we're kind of freaking out about it. That's a lot of chocolate!

55 chocolate candies might have been a little too much, since Sheeran immediately spit the candies out of the car door. But that didn't slow him down - both Corden and Sheeran started singing another hit song (not that we're surprised).

But What Are Maltesers?

If you're anything like me, when you read about this challenge, you thought it was hilarious, but then you wondered WTF Maltesers even are. Well, they're a chocolate candy that's pretty similar to the American Whoppers candy — basically the British version of Whoppers.

Both Maltesers and Whoppers candy have a honeycomb center surrounded by a milk chocolate coating. If you haven't had a taste of these candies before, I'm sure you'll want to try them now.

Don't Try This at Home

Even though it sounds pretty cool and Ed Sheeran can do it, that doesn't mean that you should too. It might look like something worth trying, but it could actually be pretty dangerous. Putting all those small candies in your mouth at once could make you choke, if you're not careful. Of course, Ed Sheeran has the same risks, but he's proven to be a pro.

So basically, the Ed Sheeran "Carpool Karaoke" has convinced me that 1) Sheeran is a total boss and 2) I need to find a way to try Maltesers. However, I probably won't be putting 55 in my mouth at once.
