With the scorching Delhi heat and the immense pressure of semester end examinations, one is bound to get frustrated. But not to worry, because we’ve come to the rescue with a list of food items that will keep your mind cool while everything around you is burning!
1. Green Tea
Exams are the time of little to no physical activity. But not to worry, with less than 2 calories in a cup, green tea comes to the rescue. It not only consists of antioxidants and other fancy stuff to keep you cool but also helps in losing weight.
Since watermelon is full of water (please don’t hate me for stating the obvious…), it helps you to stay hydrated when your taste buds are fed up of the bland taste of water.
For many people (including me), eating daal means you’re unwell. But, what many of us don’t know is that not only is it rich in proteins, but it also helps maintain your body temperature in the heat.
While too much coffee is harmful, exam season is incomplete without it and now you have an official reason to drink it! As stated by Elle, it helps reduce weight and keeps you pumped with adrenaline and if you feel good, you stay cool, right?
Celery goes along with so many dishes when you’re cooking (or just eating) Chinese food found in many cafes near Delhi University’s north campus.
Apple – a source of iron + keeps you cool! Try talking to it and maybe it’ll fix you a meeting with Iron Man. *wink wink*
7. Bell Peppers
There are so many recipes that can be found online to keep things interesting with bell peppers. All you need to do is keep an open eye.
Add them into a shake, smoothie or have them plain. Replace the almond milk with almonds and you have yourself something. Also, this is something you could keep a small bowl of in a corner of your study table for something to nibble on and it helps improve your brain power, so eat away!
