Halifax has beautiful summer and fall temperatures. Many restaurants have great patios to enjoy a drink and some food. Stillwell and The Stubborn Goat created cool, relaxed, BBQ style venues to enjoy the weather and all the craft beer the city has to offer. As fall starts to end, there are many reasons why you should check out these two beer gardens in the coming weeks.

1. The food is good

Stillwell's menu features a variety of well priced BBQ favourites and interesting twists. Better yet, they have soft-serve ice cream with daily flavours and cool sundae combos. The Stubborn Goat also offers a great menu with in-house favourites such as the fish tacos and fried chicken bites.

2. They're only open for one more week

The beer gardens are only seasonal and are not open all-year round. Check them out this week for a change in atmosphere from your usual go-to spot. Stubborn Goat is closing on October 15th so make sure to stop in ASAP or better yet, attend their end of season party this weekend.

3. The locations are cool

The Stubborn Goat Beer Garden is situated right on the boardwalk. Nothing beats the beautiful view of the Halifax waterfront with a beer. Stillwell is located on Spring Garden (super convenient for students) and has a perfect patio tucked away from the busy street.

4. They're adaptations of your favourite bars in Halifax

Stillwell and Stubborn Goat are both popular places to go for a great meal or a couple of drinks. With the nice weather, why not change up your scenery and enjoy the outdoor venues and spinoffs of your favourite menu items?

5. The menus have a variety of craft beers

Both locations offer a huge assortment of local beer, cider, and wine. Breweries like Garrison and Boxing Rock have daily features on tap.
