When I first heard that ABC Family was changing its name to Freeform back in 2015, I was absolutely appalled. Starting the following year, my favorite TV event of December, ABC Family's 25 Days of Christmas, was going to be known by a new name; and, to be honest, I wasn't really happy about it.

Ever since I was little, I have known the event with ABC Family in the title, and it doesn't seem right to call it anything else. But unlike the design of Starbucks's holiday cups, there's no possibility of the name going back to its original roots, and as weird as saying Freeform's 25 Days of Christmas is, I have to eventually get used to it.

In the meantime, the best way I can cope is by finding other bizarre things being introduced this holiday season—just like these strange candy cane flavors:

1. Bacon

There's no question that bacon can successfully blend sweet and savory together (like with these bacon chocolate chip cookies). But in a candy cane flavor? Not so much.

2. Pickle

Talk about a dill breaker. While I won't be buying these candy canes anytime soon, maybe Selena Gomez would give them a try.

3. Sriracha

While others might not mind warming up from the cold with sriracha candy canes, I think I'll just stick to a cup of hot chocolate.

4. Gravy

Normally, I would gladly ask someone to pass the gravy during Thanksgiving dinner. However, after seeing these candy canes, I might just eat my mashed potatoes plain.

5. Wasabi

Again, I'd rather have some hot chocolate after a cold day than this spicy candy cane flavor. But this time, I think I'm gonna kick it up a notch with this red velvet recipe.
