Veggies. Steamed. In a microwave. Revolutionary. Nah, but the simplest of all ways to prepare your veggies without the added calories and sugar that comes with putting a marinade on them.
You need to eat your vegetables and this is arguably the quickest yet most gourmet way to do so. Like a wittle sauna for your bowl of veggies.
Microwaved Steamed Veggies
- Prep Time:5 minutes
- Cook Time:3 minutes
- Total Time:8 minutes
- Green beans
- Bell peppers
- 1 cup water
Chop up veggies so they are roughly the same size and place in a large, microwave safe bowl in one layer.
Add enough water to just line the bottom of the vegetables.
Cover the bowl with saran wrap (or a lid) and microwave for 2 minutes. If they’re not ready, flip and place back in the microwave for 1-4 minutes, flipping at each minute interval.
