Fresh Whiskey Sour

    Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup whiskey
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • Step 1

    To make simple syrup, pour sugar and water into a pot. Heat over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves. Let cool.

    Pour lemon and lime juice into a pitcher.

  • Step 3

    Add the whiskey and simple syrup, and stir.

  • Step 4

    Chill beverage.

  • Step 5

    Pour over ice and garnish with a lemon slice.

New York Cocktail

  • 1 1/2 oz rye whiskey
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon confectioner's sugar

    Fill a shaker with ice. Add rye, lime juice, sugar and grenadine.
