When you were a lil’ kid, it felt like forever counting down the minutes until lunchtime so you could start snacking on the frosted animal crackers in your Blue’s Clues lunchbox. Now that you’re “all grown up” and can definitely snack whenever you want (#guilty), it’s time to bring back that same childhood joy to your snack time. Here’s how.

Frosted Animal Cookies

  • Prep Time:5 minutes
  • Cook Time:10 minutes
  • Total Time:15 minutes
  • Servings:1-2
  • Easy

    Ingredients

  • 2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 box animal crackers
  • red food dye
  • Rainbow sprinkles
  • Step 1

Put white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and heat up for 30 seconds. Take the bowl out, mix the chocolate, and return to the microwave for another 30 seconds. Keep repeating this step until your white chocolate chips have become liquid white gold.

Spoon Tip: No microwave? No problem. Check out these other ways to make your liquid gold.

  • Step 2

Add a little love to your melted white chocolate with a drop or two of red food dye, and mix it all in.

  • Step 3

Invite your animal crackers to the party and get creative. Dip, drizzle, or dunk each one.

  • Step 4

Make it rain colorful rainbow sprinkles over the freshly frosted animal crackers. Let the warm frosting cool for a bit and enjoy.
