Summer cooking means access to two wonderful things: fresh fruit and grills. And luckily, these two elements of summer collided somewhere along the way, resulting in grilled – sometimes caramelized – fruit.

Sometimes charred fruit can be messy, burnt and not worth it. When grilling fruit, keep in mind to coat the grill or the fruit in some kind of fat to reduce sticking and create a firm exterior. Also, for the smaller fruits such as sliced bananas and strawberries use tin foil to prevent them from falling through the grid, or use a grid topper if you have one.

Here are three simple grilled fruit desserts for the summer.
