In past years, some of America’s most beloved beer brands have undergone an identity crisis. Once Budweiser was sold to Belgian investors, American beer drinkers thought they were doomed, left with only commercials of the patriotic golden retriever to remind them of what once was. This made Fourth of July celebrations a bit tricky for those hoping to remain true to the red, white and blue.

But fear not, party people, this year we are in luck because local craft breweries are on the rise. This holiday weekend, show some love to the U S of A and sip on the American stuff.

From ACK to Hawaii, here’s the 411 on the biggest and best All-American beers.

Hailing from Fort Collins, CO, this is the beer that started it all for New Belgium. Fat Tire, named for the co-founder’s bike travels through Europe, is a perfect pairing of hops and malts.

Now, I urge you, you flag-waving, beer-loving Americans, if you love this country, drink up.
